Carri, Dutch is huge! He's built exactly like his father. His mama, Lexie, follows him all over the place. She actually likes him. She runs Mace off, though he's also her son, but he's built more like her than Hawkeye. She was completely smitten with Hawkeye when he first came here and adored him. Now, she lavishes all that worship on Dutch. It's so touching to see that.
I'm going to try to get nice pictures of goofy Nuggers soon. She has gotten so big and beautiful and fluffy. If she'd only pose for me just once!

Thanks, everyone. I love to take pictures in the fall. And these are my favorite subjects, as if you cant tell, LOL.
Carri and Jody, here are the best ones I could get of our Nugget today. To me, she is the perfect golden shade for a Buff Orpington. She wouldn't face the camera though.

Had to show this one of one of my NH girls, Lucy. Her floppy comb looks like she's wearing a beret, doesnt it? She lays very dark eggs, almost Welsummer dark, which surprised me.
