I hatched out two baby chicks two weeks ago. One of the chicks came out of the egg with a severly deformed neck.... curled over to one side of the body. I gave the baby vitamins every day and electrolytes in the water, massaged his wee little neck daily and two weeks later he is still twisted as ever. He is 1/4 the size of his sister. All he does is sleep. He does eat and drink but he is just not thriving. I have a broody hen who is due to hatch out tomorrow and I was thinking of putting the healthy chick under her... my question is... do I try to let this little guy live or do I put him out of his misery or do I put him under the broody too. He is almost the same size as he was when he was born.
he is a roo... if he does survive how will the other roosters treat him??? I am pretty new at raising chickens and want to do what is best for him..
