I have a 5-year-old hen with possible sour crop. We noticed when we picked her up that liquid came out of her mouth. She wants to drink water but doesn't want to eat. Her crop is very squishy and full. I have been reading and watching YouTube videos and every single one says to do something different. They all seem to say keep food from her for 24 hours. Some of them say to also withhold water. She seems very thirsty. Who has successfully treated sour crop before and how did you do it? A lot of advice says to give her the Greek yogurt. At the end of the day, for crop felt like a small balloon. But then I let her have some water and now it is big again. I am grateful for any advice I can get. I'm so confused about what to do. Her breath is not sour and she has runny poop. Could it actually be an impacted crop? Should I treat it as such?
