I have posted before but received just a couple of responses, so I am trying to follow the guidelines so hopefully one of you out there can help;

1)What type of bird , age and weight.
Black Australorp, 7 weeks, ?

2) What is the behavior, exactly.
laying on her belly, not wanting to walk, enlarged crop, not drinking -not eating; vomiting grass, grain and juice; cocking and contorting the neck and head.

3) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No.

4) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
The chicks were introduced to their outside pen with access to grass.

5) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Poulin Starter, water
6) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
At first it was very hard and dark, now it is softening and more normal

7) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Helping her vomit by "dangling" her upside down. Tried ACv woulnd't drink it. A bit of Olive oil.

8 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Self-treatment

9) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.

Any help would be appreciated.

We bought Crop Bound Capsules for a young roo who over did it on hay leaves. It cleared his crop in 24 hours. We followed up with acv in the water.

I hope your bird comes out of it. Best wishes for a full recovery.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I will see if our local feed and pet store has this product.

Thankfully, this is the start of day 3 - she has vomited each day and did again this morning when I picked her up. Today is the first day she wanted to drink - which became a mix of acv water and oil b/c she tipped them into each other.

I am thinking she will recover just fine.

I had hoped after following the post suggestions I would have received more responses (Thanks Lolli and GreenFamily farm) but maybe sour crop is so common people think the solution should be obvious.

You can email me and I will give you the sour crop flush and some more information that I have used
just PM me and I will send the information to you
