I think you should not give them ACV in their water. I have read that it can make the crop a more desirable place for yeast to grow by increasing its acidity; this may be why you encountered more chicks with sour crop.
If it reoccurs again, the bicarbonate (baking soda [sorry]) water is a way easier way to dosing with Monistat; baking soda is an antifungal itself, known to treat fungal infections in humans. It's a completely safe and effective alternative.
But... It reckon without the ACV you won't encounter the problem again.
