Sour crop (?)

thanks for that advice

we gave her a few treats, corn and a bit of tomato but we'll stop for now

she has oyster shell, we have left a small pile in her coop
That's great :) Some of my chickens seem to love the Oyster shell. It is good for calcium. Others prefer crushed up eggshells so I provide both.
I also see all of my girls at some point going for the grit. I don't buy their grit, I am lucky as I have stones in my soil so I just go collect lots of that in varying sizes and provide that for their crops. So I will always have a bowl of oyster shell/eggshell and a separate bowl of grit available to them. I find it really helps. Best wishes :)

Hi again, she did recover I ended up having to do something I saw online, turn her with her head facing the ground and massage her crop. Black horrible liquid came out but less than 2 hours later she was digging and scratching and eating. This was also in the link that was posted earlier in this thread. I think I'll go back and read the whole thing (which I should have done at the start!)

She recently had this again and it went the same way. She is ok for now.

We are making sure she gets oyster shell, we put it in with her pellets. ACV? Does it have to be organic or can I use one from the store?

I think she has had this since we got her, she is about 4. I always noticed her chest was larger on one side but didn't think anything of it until she got sick just these last few months.
