Oh Shell, how sweet to see her bathing. She's a sweaty. If I could have the option, I would do surgery as well. My understand even metal pieces I don't think can be seen in the X-ray. The vet will know.

well yesterday morning i freaked out! bombie had drops of blood under her roost and after checking her over for injury and finding nothing i was really scared she was bleeding internally! thoughts of ruptured intestines running through my head. thankfully when i went back out to check her 20mins latter i desovered a bleeding toe nail! dont know how she managed to break it but it must have been cracked, bled a tiny bit in the night and then snapped off as she ran arround and started to bleed again. thou im sad shebroke a nail im also relieved she isnt bleeding internally!! i cleaned and bandaged it. today will be vets appt. her crop feels like a treasure bag! bits and pieces of god know what! feels like bits of wood and stones and feathers to me! ive been sweeping everyday out in the run as the floors drying out and new bits are coming loose as the soul dries! so either shes eating more junk or bits have come back up from below. prob eating more! argh! will see what vet says but prob procedure number two today. will post progress latter.

ok, strangest thing happened this morning, when i let bombie out of the coop today i checked her crop as usual, every day has been the same, squashy enlarged crop with bits of c**p floating about. however today its empty apart from a tight hard ball of c**p which means the food from yesterday emptied out completely! leaving just the objects! she had a lot of mushy(not quite runny) poop under her roost. now i wonder if the blockage has indeed come up! if so todays endoscopy should be successful! as long as nothing goes back down between now and 12:00! fingers crossed so tight it hurts! lol

Hopefully today will be her turning point for the better. I read a chicken who had sour crop had developed a brittle beak later. They were told to give cod oil. Keeping my fingures crossed Shell.
