Yeah, this person that said she would not hatch this winter still has eggs in the bator. Geez! I am so crazy. I am up to 2 brooders in the house and 5 brooders in the barn, all with lights.
I am glad you asked since that reminded me I had eggs to go from bator to hatcher today. I have Sizzles, bantam Cochins in blue base, one Marans and a few Mille Fleur Cochin.
However, I also have Iowa Blues due to go in the hatcher in a few days along with more Marans, Sizzles, some Frizzles, bantam Cochins.....then in another week I have another tray of about the same and 4 days after that I have some of the same but I have now added some Olive Eggers and EEs to the mix.
Yup, I really stuck to my guns about not hatching through this winter.![]()

Nicole: DADDY! Didn't you tell momma no hatching til spring?
Me: tattle tale!
DH: Yes I did. I told you to wait til spring so you wouldn't have so much to ...blah blah....

Mary...sometimes my boys don't do the deed until they are about 10+ months old. I never see Gil do the deed. Never have seen him do the dance...but his girls give fertile eggs!

I don't want to do AI unless I have to, either.... when they get older, if any trouble then worry about itOnce older, AND when your flock is bigger, if you want to keep show birds separate from breeder birds, you can trim butt fluff on the breeders....
None will be as awesome as those whites!
AWWWWW..he is shy!! HEHE

LOL! I always thought he was just too full of himself. He is the one that DD calls Mr Personality. I take him to shows just so he can strut around the cages. Very glad his eggs are fertile!
