Has anyone who sells hatching eggs ever shipped internationally? I have a request for eggs in Pakistan and I have no idea if it's even possible. I have had people take my eggs into Africa and Italy in a suitcase but that's as close to international shipping as I've ever gotten. I'm thinking that by the time the eggs got through Customs they wouldn't be viable.

I get contacted all the time from people out of the country about eggs. It is too much hassle and no, they most likely would not be viable the way they are shipped and the time frame so I just have not done it. I decline as gracefully as I can to help them out.

Lou Ann and I both live right off State Park Rd, behind Hampton Park Church. I know exactly where you two are talking about. I actually drove down State Park from TR earlier this week just to see those areas again. I was also looking at the Turner Farm which is now for sale. I am amazed at the number of neighborhoods that have cropped up off State Park Rd. They are everywhere. Of course, my biggest pet peeve, is the number of houses on the side of Paris Mtn. It's just not the same anymore.

Went to Hampton Park from birth through age 25. I agree about the mountain --- it's not what it used to be! Turner Farms is such a beautiful place. We looked at it online a couple of weeks ago, and it surprised me. The rooms are really spacious, and the hardwood floors look gorgeous. Out of our price range, but probably not bad for a big house and twelve acres. Every time I see a chunk of land like that for sale, I'm terrified it will turn into yet another subdivision! Do you remember when they tore down that old white house with the big magnolias on the corner in TR, only to build a drugstore that never opened? Grrrr....

Amen! I was out earlier thawing rabbit and chicken waterers, and I thought for a while my hands were going to fall off! They better appreciate it. I'm grateful all of ours made it through fine, though.

Drove out and saw DD's baby goats today! SOOO adorable and TINY! Much smaller than I expected. Congrats to DD and family!

You probably know Lou Ann. Her last name is Newsom. Been there forever. I know a lot of people there because they come into the dental office I work in.
I looked at the Turner house online, too. It could be awesome with some work. I would love to see someone really fix it up. If I had the money and needed that much space, I would do it in a heartbeat.
I do remember them tearing down the big white house in TR. I must say, though, that TR is looking great now. I love going there and getting on the trail and walking to Furman.

Last night was the first time this winter the chicken's water was frozen solid. One more cold night tonight, and then it is supposed to be above freezing again for awhile. I really wonder what this summer will be like after the winter we have had. Really hot, or just the opposite, like our winter was.
