I have about 80 rhode island red and a handful of barred rocks, astrolorpes, and buff orphingtons along with a couple of other who know what.

Just built a HUGE incubator. Going to start doin that in a couple of weeks.

My purpose in raising chickens is because it is relaxing and all the money I make off of the chickens goes to missionaries in other countries...

Country Preacher,
All my unsold eggs go to the Daily Bread soup kitchen. We take about 16 dz every week or so over there and they love us for it. We feel the need to give back as much as possible and this was one way we were led to do it.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a meet and greet for SCians? Like the Chickenstocks some folks have? But where? It would have to be a day long event, someplace central-

For example, I am 2.5 hours from Columbia, so I could drive up and back the same day. Or even the Myrtle Beach area.

Is there a big park with facilities around somewhere that even the upstaters could get to easily?

We could do some grilling, hang out in the shade, yak it up, show baby pictures of the chickens, swap stories, etc.

The only problem I see is that the weather is already hot and muggy!
