I am so glad you joined us. Look forward to another meeting of poultry folks. I heard your pound cake was a hit, I didnt even get over to the table, but I did supply a cake. although it wasnt home made, I just ran out of time.

thank you for that It is my fav recipe and a real old one at that. Sam turned me on to this and I love it.

Good Morning everyone.
Hope today is a good day to get outside and do some work although I desperately

need to do some inside work.

I am getting tired of hatching

, so I will have B/B/S hatching eggs for sale if anyone wants some. I have had great fertility in this pen. I have 3 blue and 3 splash hens with a blue roo.
I have been getting mostly blue and splash chicks with a few black chicks. I have hatched close to a hundred

and am sitting here listening to cheeping in the incubators now.

I also have a nice Splash rooster that I am thinking about selling. I will put a blue hen or splash hen with him if anyone is interested. I have him with 3 of my senior black javas now. I am running out of space. Believe it or not!!!!!!!!

would you be talking about silkies?

What is B/B/S? are you talking about silkies How much are your eggs. I would love to have blue and splash if they are silkies/ Also then hens and roo. Let me know what you have please.. Thank you so much.

Blue Black Splash orpingtons were what I was offering. I also have B/B/S silkies but do not have eggs available.
This is the breeding combinations and results for B/B/S
Black X Splash = 100% Blue
Black X Black = 100% Black
Black X Blue = 50% Blue, 50% Black
Blue X Blue = 25% Black, 50% Blue, and 25% Splash
Blue X Splash = 50% Blue and 50% Splash
Splash X Splash = 100% Splash

I was there in the blue truck, white trailer with the bantams and showgirls. Thank you for welcoming me. The dog van was awesome. I pointed that out to Harold when we first pulled up. I love my silkies and showgirls. I have guineas, silkies, showgirls, bantams and some buffs. There is not a one I don't absolutely love. I think I did talk with you. Were the the 1 that had the chicken for the show and that was all?

We did meet, I talked to you about the guineas. We have a flock of Coral Blues only. It was just at the end of it all. We were parked next to the lady, I think is susan, that had the frizzle there for the show. She did get a Weatan Americana from phoneman, I beleive. So, Lyn, I hear that was a real pound cake, there may be a biding war on the next one you make. I never got to the bake table, but will be sure to get over next time.

I cant wait till i can get showgirls.. know that I know your so close I may have to build my little flock by slowly adding a bit at a time.. i told my husband you had keets.. and he said NO no guineas for us.. oh well I will get my showgirls.hahaha I think that's the winning bid..

I think Sam did a great job putting the event together and cant wait till the next one. especially now that I am more familure with who's who..

hey Phoneman,,, i sure enjoyed your adult birds. its so nice to be able to see what your chicks will grow up to look like. , I got 4 marran chicks from you boys, but I didnt get their names, I let them know they are doing well and blending right in with my other chicks.

It was great meeting you all too.. I had just had surgery on wed. and wasn't supposed to be out.. but I cant stay still. I think Helen my cronish cross hen had a good time too.. has her out out of the kennel onthe way home and had the window open a bit. you''d have thought she was a dog.. enjoying the wind haha.. I was a little worried about her getting to excited, especialy since they aren't supposed to live as long as she has but she bounced right back and laid one of her monster eggs the next day...

Im allready looking forward to the next swap.. so whos got the 411 on where the next one will be?
