glad the cat wasn't on your roof, or under your car!

1 treat all guns as fif they are loaded
2 never point a gun at anything you do not wish to destroy
3 keep your finger off of the trigger until you are ready to fire
4 be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

Been shooting all my life, took a course and still want my concealed weapons permit. I am usually more careful about what is behind my target and I knew there was dirt and no people behind the cat, did not think about the chickens. Guess I would have had chicken for dinner if one had been.
I can guarantee that I would not have shot at the cat had it been on my roof or under my truck. She was stupid enough to come up on the deck cleaning her face and licking her lips. That close, that easy and with something as powerful as the Saturday Night Special I knew she would not get the other 7 chicks and keets my hen has down there. Those will live another day, at least.
I haven't seen the LGD since I fired the revolver though. She is probably in the next county by now!
