I like him very nice.leirob007, could you give me your opinion on my RoseComb RIR rooster? I am loving this breed! This is "Gordy" and I think my best male. I have 2 RC hens I hatched for him this season too.
I never knew RIR's got so big! And he really has a wonderful personality. I really would like to know what you think....
Thank you! The eggs he came from were my birthday present to myself this year. They are a lot of fun to watch out free ranging as they look like dinosaurs when the walk and they all stay right together--of course there are only 8 of them.

Well hello there... What I have is a chicken pen. LoL... Haven't got any chickens yet but I am wanting to start. Have to start somewhere right?A big WELCOME!!!Chicks here...chicks there...chicks everywhere!There are spring shows/swaps and fall shows/swaps...we try to post what we know is coming up...My personal fun is hooking up with people here to buy or sell and going to their "place"...I love seeing what everyone else does to home their birds and care for them...I always learn something with every visit...and come away with another wonderful friend! You will find we are a very friendly open-armed group and appreciate each other! There is a lot of info on here and a lot more knowledgeable people that are always willing to help in anyway we can! So glad to have you find BYC! There is also a NC section with great people there! I have many friends from that page too.

I can tell you he is the correct color for RIR. The deep rich color is so very nice on this heritage breed. I am not sure on the leg color but from all the ones I have seen in the past you have a fine example of what one should look like. The green sheen in the tail feathers is lovely. Amy, Thank you! His legs did not show up well in the picture but they are a nice yellow with the dark brown down the front of them. I would love to see some pictures of the birds at the Morganton show. Especially if they have RC's as this breed is my new love! I am actually wonder what birds I could do without here to have a bigger pen for these guys!
