South Carolina

We have to make a video in Spanish about getting ready. We bathed her, dried her, painted her nails, fixed her hair and then put her on a 'date' with my Silkie mix roo ;) they had roses and a piece of bread to share. When we finish editing it I'll post the whole video. This is just a tiny snippet without narration yet.

Oh , my gosh. My son and I got a really good laugh!!!!!

Thanks that is the best thing, laughter. How do you bathe a silkie? Honest question.

Thanks, Sandy! Robert is good at getting some priceless moments!
Although I think I was reacting to something Kris was telling me, it just looked too funny when Robert put that caption on it!

I bathed my bantam Cochin and the 2 little ones yesterday. I use the kitchen sink and some dish soap with a few other things to make them pretty for the show. I have the hardest time keeping their heads from going under even though the water is not very deep. I guess I wash too vigorously! LOL

After her bath and blow dry yesterday. Both of us were wore out!

Now that is some love, bathing and blow drying your little beauties!

To all experienced chicken breeders, I have a question about mating pairs. Is it ok to just have one hen with one rooster? Or will she get...um...over used? What kind of hens to roosters ratio do you find works best for you?

Putting new batteries in my camera now. Though I do not take as good of photos as Robert. Maybe Nicole will take some. She is a great picture taker!

Off to bed. Early to bed, early to rise....ick! Two thirty will come too early!
