Yes, he builds for me... only if I threaten to hire someone! And I just spent an hour justifying why I need them. He doesn't "get' chickens and is a bottom-line kind of guy. Doesn't always work that great with chickens! I haven't convinced him yet that part of it is just that we love them!

We never get sick either. None of us. That's why I'm so surprised that we all got it. This strain is particularly nasty. Oh, well! I'm going to enjoy the sun no matter what!

Luckily Todd & Nicole are pretty much over that nasty flu. I still only have a cold. I plan on getting outside & getting some sunshine again today!

Have a great day everyone!

Joycats,

RAW Garlic and LOTS of Vitamin C. Plenty of liquids...such as Green Tea, Chamomile Tea, ....and an occasional whisky.

If your throat is sore....gargle with salt water every once in a while...horehound candy is also good for that.

Everything else was scrap from mine and my grandma's house; which I guess that's kinda why its not EXACTLY square, but hey chickens don't care about that anyway, lol.

I am totally disgusted that I'm wasting this gorgeous weather in the bed! Dang virus. I have no idea where I picked it up, the only place I go is the grocery store and the post office, well and to get chicken food of course. I even hit the drive thru at the bank. I agree, it's much more fun to socialize with the chickens. I pray my kids do not get sick. I cannot be sick 2 days in a row as I need to check on all the birds. My husband fed everyone last night under the supervision of my 6 year old. It took them almost 4 hours and I'm certain they missed somebody. I'm drugged on Motrin and trying to get some strength back. Every few steps I take, I break out into a sweat. I never get sick and I hate it. But I am feeling a bit better, just weak as water. No way I can be sick for a whole week, I'm determined to get out in that sunshine for a bit today. Then to decontaminate the house of these germs. Everybody drink your orange juice and wash your hands - stay healthy. Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.

I GOT THEM!!!!! I FINALLY GOT THEM!!!!!

As of Wednesday, I am smoke free and Nicole & I are both caffeine free. (She & I together can drink more than one two liter pepsi in a day). The ER Doc told her no caffeine while fighting the flu because it will do nothing but dehydrate her.

I keep hand sanitizer around at all times....even in the truck! We go through a LOT of hand soap also. I even have the Lysol touchless dispensers. We go through about 3-4 refills a month just in the kitchen, probably 3 in the bathrooms too!

Moonchild, the blue JG chicks are beautiful! You will love those chickens, they are the sweetest and calmest birds. I love mine.

Kimberly - good for you on quitting cigarettes! That is a dangerous habit and hard to stop. Best of luck with it. My uncle has smoked his whole life and is now dealing with COPD and oxygen and such. It is a hard thing to deal with. But to give up caffeine at the same time? You must be Wonderwoman! I cannot give up my Coca-Cola's. Love my soda. Good for you and Nicole, where is your husband hiding for the next two weeks while you both detox?
