I actually ask my BF last night if he thought they used to watch TV. They have all made themselves comfortable in front of it at some point. And they are actually watching it! One even flew into the tailgating trailer to the TV, chatted with the screen a bit, then perched on top of it. Funniest thing I had seen in a long time! They try to help me weed the garden - I can point at something and one will pull it, but then they want to scratch up the dirt too and I have to chase them out. They've tried riding the dogs - the dogs were very indignant and wouldn't come back outside to play the rest of the day. They are hilarious and frustrating all at the same time!

Maybe you can use them as a tiller before planting in the spring. HAHAHA

come out and enjoy the flock swap. At the mill spring agricultural center. Come by, sell, buy and trade, check out the farm store, with fresh bread, jams, produce and fresh meats. And come check out the meat tasting, local farmers, farm raised meats, and their best recipes

156 school road Mill spring NC 28756 @ mill spring age center. Once you cross over the NC border, it about 30-40 mins, depending on which roads you take.

went to this swap a couple months ago and it was wonderful, nice people, the birds were in nice cages, with water, and everyone's birds were healthy looking. It was very nice. Kinda like a mini chicken stock.

Do you know if there is a website/facebook/BYC page for this event?

I've actually been trying to figure out how to get the turkeys and the chickens to do some tilling/weeding/fertilizing this fall in my raised beds. Thinking maybe a PVC framed tunnel w/bird netting or something similar - just for day time use when there's no predators or rain.

Hey. I'm sorta straddling the NC/SC line these days - living in Morganton but tending to acreage in upstate SC (near Tigerville) on weekends with an eye to retiring to SC in a decade or so. Am free-ranging some Mallards in SC and checking on them when I go down to mow or clear brush. Have chickens at home. Wish I could live in SC sooner but that would be too much of a commute - maybe when my youngest heads to college in 4 years. Looking forward to making the Tigerville/Landrum area my home again.
