We're excited to see several of the chickens in our flock are on the recovering list Wyandotte & Plymouth Rock
and We are keeping a trio of Buckeye Chicks when we get them in this coming week. We plan to keep 3 and sell the rest to spread them in our county a little bit.
We are picking up a threated species today a pair of Sultans in White. I hope to find a black pair soon too.
Polish are on the Watch list so where we were getting a few to have for sale at our Event on October 18th in Newberry we'll probably be keeping one in each color
Anyway What I sell will feed them thru the winter along with our greens patch and the fresh corn we froze for them from this summer.
along with our simple wall and door we're adding to our long front coop to divide it into two chicken living spaces.
we are planning on breeding a few mixes in 2015 with our two beautiful EE boys. Because they are so interesting, and one is a Wyandotte blend. Hopefully I can talk to the breeder to see what the other was bred with, hopefully we have a match in our pens as well.
Anyone that can give us a little insight on whether this is a good match or not would be most appreciated. We are putting an AmeraucanaXSLWyandotte rooster over a SLWyandotte hen. I was hoping for a similar looking chicken to come from this match up Striking White on black maybe with fluffy cheeks.
NightWing is our roo and Alice in our hen you can look both up in my profile photos of you need them.
NightWIng is 13 weeks now ALice is 22 weeks. So we'll be looking a good mature chicken in March/April
