I am in the upstate of SC and like to find him a new home.

so the wife has been providing mealworms while you've been filling food bowls water bowls and cleaning coops? She set you up. It's time to play the old " Honey the people at BYC say you have to start taking care of the chickens while I sit on the back porch and watch" card. Maybe even show her the recent article about the Australian woman who was killed by her rooster.
Seriously though. I sympathize with your plight. And wish I could help. I am about to enter the market for a new rooster, but not a Plymouth Rock.
It is good to see somebody using the South Carolina page. I thought it had gone defunct. Certainly hope someone can help you out.( good-looking rooster by the way)

Hi! I, too... am looking for a home for a roo in the Upstate. He is not huggable, but completely not human aggressive. Except for knowing that food comes from people, he totally ignores people. He is great with the girls and chicks, warns the flock about hawks and dogs... and he is beautiful! Everything I’d want in a roo... but I have his daddy and not enough room for 2. His daddy is an EE, Momma a hatchery Jersey Giant ... so not really Giant at all... but he does have the orange foot bottoms, mottled with the slate grey/green of the Easter Egger. He is black and gold. I’d love to find him a great home. You are welcome to come and see how he reacts ( more like doesn’t react) to people.

Anybody in SC (probably piedmont area) like to sew. But just can't afford all the cloth you want/need? I don't enjoy sewing and I inherited a BUNCH of cloth. As long as you use it and not resale it, I will donate. Especially if you use it for community projects. Pm me.

Northwest. I'm in Clinton. About halfway between Columbia and Greenville. A pretty good little step from Lancaster.

So, are you a seamstress? Normal stuff, costumes, cosplay, quilting?

Not really. Im a dabbler. Ive made quilt blocks but no quilt. I generally just make clothes for my son.

But i do hope you can find someone. Or you could find a local quilters group. My son was in the NICU in Columbia and there were several local groups that donated baby quilts to the hospital and the ronald McDonald house.

I know I said I don't like to sew. Actually I have simply gone in other directions. But I do know how to sew. If you have time I would definitely encourage you start putting those quilts together. Especially if you use freestyle quilting, the blocks are the hard part.

A wall hanging I did when my babies were babies. And their grandparents were still with us.
Did you guys get to the chicken swap in Chester today? 2 hour drive for me and I just wouldn't do it. But of course State Fair is in Colombia in 2 weeks. The livestock judging that I want to see happens to be on Saturday and Sunday, so I'll be there for 2 days. Have you been in South Carolina long enough to experience the State Fair?

We've been her 7 years in January. We dont do anything lol. We do goto columbia often for dr appts. Id like to goto the fair thatams interesting. I wouldnt mind seeing what thats all about.
