You're a mess, Eric. In the best way possible!

I am looking for some purebred ameraucana day old chicks that can be shipped. I would also consider fertile eggs. My color preference has lavender, blue, black over blue, buff and silver. I don't care much for any red. I am looking for stock that will lay a medium blue egg. Are there any out there or am I dreaming? I thought I saw some on here last year once, but don't remember who had them.
Please help....

Amy, do you put red pepper flakes mixed up with hard boiled eggs? Hmmmm..... interesting! I read that cayenne pepper works so I guess it's the same theory. You do the red pepper flakes every three months? For how long? Just one serving?

Yes, using hard boiled eggs is good for many things. I feed as treats or to add something like red pepper flakes but I generally add other things if adding the pepper flakes, like oatmeal or starter mash, wheat bran etc.
Cayenne pepper is the same. We grow our own peppers and I just dry them and grind up to use. A penny saved is a penny earned! At least until I run out of my own!

Yup, I use the red pepper every 3 months. I do it only one day and usually one serving since it doesn't take long for them to gobble it up. Only my ducks don;t care for it but their poop so far has been negative for worms.

Thanks! I just put some in their food today. I haven't "seen" any worms so I hate to jump the gun and go full out with the chemicals. Plus, I'd hate to lose eggs for 2 weeks. My commercial account would not be happy if I suddenly had no eggs.

By the way, I take back all the ranting and cussing I did about the Hovabator. I've had three chicks as of this morning in the Hovabator and several more pipped. They're doing great. Obviously was user error on my part. Oh, well. Live and learn! The same eggs are always in my big fancy incubator and nothing is happening! So glad I might have a successful hatch because that big old Hovabator is great to hatch in!

My wry neck girl looks the same. I dosed her again with vitamins and gave her some water with a dropper. And massaged her neck. I'll do it for a few more days and I'm really hoping I see some improvement. It looks so painful!

Hope she improves.........I lost another one today. Found her this morning in a corner and could not stand and was slightly wobbly in head. Treated with antibiotic, and vit E ..... Had things to do in town & she was dead when I returned.

Do you know what's happening? That's weird. Something's going on. You shouldn't be losing them like that. Sorry! My wry neck is the same. I read somewhere on here that it can take 4 days of vitamins so we'll see. She was about the same today. But it's only the second day. Maybe she'll be better tomorrow!
