Moonchild........those pretty babies are looking so darned nice! I still say girls but what do I know??? I swear I have a boy here and his comb is much bigger and redder than yours so I am still hoping yours are girls. AND mine are not nearly as well feathered as yours are. Maybe I should kick mine outside for a bit during the day. If I just had the time and energy......

Oh yeah, and one of the blue girls is looking up at me with like a crooked neck. She is eating and drinking good but she has like a kink in her neck when she looks up at me. I have put vitamins in their water and also the ACV with garlic, had to do Sulmet for bloody stools (I was thinking coccidiosis) and I have sprinkled some DE on the brooder floor for rolling around in. I gave a bit of boiled egg yesterday but I think they played in it more than ate it.

No, I still have not got photos of those big Cochin chicks. I am waiting for them to lose a bit of baby fuzz and get some real feathers so we cna see some neat color. I plan to take the camera down tomorrow to get photos of breeding pairs I need to sell so i will snap you some shots of those fat babies so you can have a "before" photo! LOL

Welcome all new SC people!!!

I hatched the BLRW in the middle and the 2 Black Australorps were bought from the feed store to keep my little loner company.

The buff orpington girls (pretty sure they're mixed with something..they have some black feathering in their tails) * I know their feet look rough..I'm working on it*

4 out of 5 of my laying hens (2 white leghorns, 2 buff orpington x, and 1 barred rock *i think*)

My hens were bought last year..they aren't all that pretty but they do their job..and they got me addicted to the chicken world. They came from the lovely jockey lot...

Amy Glad you enjoyed the honey without headaches. Whenever I am over that way, I will bring you some more.
You should see the silky babies now. The one with the white beak that hatched last has a reddish comb. The other two have black combs. Thanks you for the cutie pies. Just hope someone turns out to be female.

I have 3 partridge babies from Sandy's eggs. So cute and tiny.

I will pass your contact info to the man in Michigan.
