Oh they will keep the bugs off of the garden, they will eat your vegetables, they will eat your plants and then they will "till" up the garden spot for you - and they'll probably do all of that in about 2 days time!

You need some guineas for your garden spot, if you want to have the vegetables for yourself.

And not just your garden! They will destroy any landscaping bed you have. I swear two chickens can totally mess up a mulched bed in about two minutes flat! It's storming here. Thankfully some of the rain from Monday dried up yesterday but the runs were still very muddy. Poor chickens!

Great and here I hoped I would be the only one to kill/destroy the garden. I have 2 black thumbs when it comes to plants and hoped if I keep at it something is bound to live at least a little while! But apparently not with the chickens around

I can't wait to start keeping the ducks, turkeys and meat chicks in the coop. They get stinky fast!! The coop is all ready for them-now if the weather would co-operate

They'll be going in the silkie section for a little bit, to get used to having so much room and all that. Then they'll go into the main part of the coop.

Anyone use nipple waterers? We got some, I'm wondering if they have to go on the bottom of the container-I just don't see how we can hang the buckets effectively. Especially with the variety of sizes. . .
