South Carolina

I am absoluelty tickled right now! Went to the feed store to pick up more feed and there were new chicks. Of course I had to take a peek and low and behold there's EE!! And to make it so much sweeter SLWD!!!!!! I was jumping for joy at the sight of them. Apparently, the hacterie sent a few extra ( like 200 ) in their shipment for the feed store and the EEs and SLWD were thrown in by mistake! Happiest mistake for me!!!!

Pics to come later. We got 2 EEs and 3 SLWD!

If everyone had left me alone today, and let me sit home by myself, I would have seen this sooner & made a trip to see my best friend in Laurens.
Unfortunately I have a hurt ankle and can't go anywhere to get them.

Maybe that offer will come up again another time.....hope you find a taker!

Well give me a PM when your next heading this way and Ill have some set out for you.

If my incubator was not running over with eggs I would love to have hatched some Runners.
The only duckling that hatched today and lived I sent home with Chickychickybaby and her daughter. Two others hatched but they died shortly after. Not from my birds so I have no idea what happened. They all look like Mallards.

But my 'bator is full to the max. I can't set more eggs until Monday.

Actually, I should not set any then. I need to move my trays of eggs up out of the hatcher tray and onto a turner.
With about 10,000 chicks and ducklings on the way I can't set more eggs! Okay, it will only seem like 10,000 when I clean the brooders and try to turn around in the brooder room.
Guess I better go set up a few egg auctions so I won't set any eggs for myself.

Way things are going, I may be buying more birds from you & Joy. Lost my Silver Laced Wyandotte roo to that dog this morning between 5 am & 615am (after me & nicole came in to warm up and fell asleep). This time dog took whole bird - only left me with a pile of feathers...... Now I am mad about it. GEEZ. My favorite roo.....I think he was a goodlookin fella..........hope i get some roos from the SLW eggs I bought from Joy!

OH yeah, Amy Nadine - the duckling got a name not long after we left LOL Butler. (She said something about a guinea pig with that name too and she likes it) He is already cheeping at her when she talks to him and is loving being held. IDK what she will do about the name if it is a girl
