Silkies, Marans, Game/Mix, and some muts. My FnLaw gave me some eggs to hatch for him, And I only have silkies.
60% is great then
Seems my silkies like it a little higher than other breeds - 55-60%
Other breeds do well at 50%.
It will rise as they hatch, you don't want it so high that once the chick pierces that inner membrane that moisture buildup in the air cell causes them to drown.
Humidity will condense on the inside of the shell at the air pocket just like it will on the windows of the bator.
If you have moisture on the windows of the bator then it is too high, too.
