South Carolina

gofasterstripe, I have been talking to a gentleman named Jonathan at the TSC in Laurens for about a month about this swap day. I have told him over and over that if he wants this to be a success, he HAS to advertise the swap. I haven't seen any advertising either. He talked about having free sodas and the 4-H club there to sell hot dogs. I don't know what else to do. . . .

I'm guessing Will's Mom wasn't at home. His Dad is .... well ..... he's not from around here - and not an animal person. I have no doubt if Mom had been home when this happened the gun would've come out. I can only say that Will has had to work for his money to buy his own chickens so I'm sure to him it "FEELS" like they're worth at least a thousand dollars!

AND if it was the rooster that I'm thinking about, it was his favorite bird that he worked so hard to acquire and besides that the rooster was a pet. I'm not sure as I haven't talked to them yet. I'm just guessing. I was over ther a couple of weeks ago to see his birds. He's redone the whole yard, new pens and new birds. He was so proud of them. I really feel bad for him. And since these were game chickens, I can only guess what will happen to them.

Thanks Kim! They really are good boys. And I enjoyed seeing you and talking chickens the other day too! How are your eggs, have you candled them yet?

Oh no you should see the video........they showed the chickens and a Great Pyr was laying in the background!

I was like now I know I do not want one of those dogs!

VIDEO HERE

Can't blame the dog, he's in separate fence and not with the chickens. They will probably move him over now though.
