Cool, thanks! I'mma keep calling mine Black Stars then!

1 of the hens I recently purchased was referred to as a black comet. Do you think this is the same thing? She is black with a green irridescent undertone & a bit of Red in her neck.

Very likely, but no guarantee. Where did you get it from?

It will be a month or so before I can get it done, I am sure. Gotta go to Lowes today if I feel up to it. I was sick as a dog yesterday. I am never sick! But I worry that kissing all those chicks gave me salmonella. I am better today though still not right so I hope to go get lots of lumber and hinges and things for working on all this stuff.

Joy should get some photos of hers! They are awesome! I think hers are bigger or at least more square than mine. I won't be able to do mine like hers so much but I got a lot of great ideas from hers. I love the way Joy's open up at the top and there is a roosting pole and a nest box. And downstairs her ducks lay and sit on eggs. Joy's husband is a really great builder! You should see her wonderful coops he has built. I totally love them!

However, I try to always post pix when I work on a new project or get one done so they will be here one day.

i have my hands full.i have a game hen setting on 15 ringneck pheasant eggs due to hatch a week from this sunday. also have a blrwyandotte setting on 12 eggs due to hatch the same sunday.the problem is my incadator is running about 1 degree to cold and my hatch is 2 days late. i bought some pricy pheasant eggs. and i want them to have a good chance of hatching. so today i will put the pheasant eggs under the broody hens and put the other pheasant and chicken eggs in my styerform incabator to hatch next sunday.iwill also put 22 bourbon red turkey eggs in it to hatch that tues. please cross your fingers for this to work. some of my new pheasant eggs takes 28 days to hatch and some will take 23 days to hatch.
