If you upload to BYC, you can choose the size you put in your post....... On the upload page, if you uncheck the box that says resize to....then it should be original size of your picture. If you check that box and chose 640x480 for message boards - that is a good size also

Im still learning.. what is a LGD ?
hu.gif

LGD is a livestock guardian dog. There are many breeds that will guard livestock without harming them....past a certain age, of course. Midas, Jackie's Great Pyrenees, is still having to learn his lessons. It sounds like Jackie is being busy teaching him the ways of it.
There are Maramas, Anatolians etc that fit in this category. And as with Yancy's crew, they do not even have to be bred for it. Some just are natural protectors of whatever their owners have.
My big white girl is a Great Pyr...or as DH says, she is not so great just pretty good Pyr.

That's okay. I was pretty sure it looked SS but didn't want to speculate. Definitely a roo.
When you upload a photo here it will ask if you want to re-size to a specific setting like emails or website. I seldom do. If I take photos with my cell phone they only come in one size and I can't change it without distorting the photo.

Anyone in the northern upstate know anyone that could move a shed aka Chicken coop? I got a deal on Craigslist. Of course pics will be posted once I get it home. I don't want to try to call a wrecker on a Sunday so that will wait until Monday to make those calls. Thought I'd ask here first. Its on wheels, but its 8ft wide and 8ft long.

Wow this thread moves quickly!

I had a great time meeting you, Joy! Thanks so much for showing me around the farm and talking chickens with me for so long.
The guinea eggs went into my incubator the very next day, and the others went under my broody hen... I'm crossing my fingers that she sticks with it!

As for my t-shirt, it was an impulse buy at Tractor Supply... and well worth it, as much as it gets worn!

It's such a lovely day outside, but I haven't gotten a thing done. I've spent most of the day playing with the week old peeps. They're just starting to grow tailfeathers!

I have a friend over here that does it. It is called Preston's Towing but ask for Jeffery to do it. He hauls all my cars and things for me. He's a little dude but he has been great. I am not sure if it would cost anymore to do it on the weekend or not. He has hauled tons of buildings. He used to do all the big Firework buildings you see around the upstate.

Glad I could help! I can't wait to see photos!!! It sounds like such a good buy. I know you are going to love it!
And boy, those SLW girls I got from you do travel! They go back in the woods every day with the Sugar Tails.

Oh yeah, Kimberly, tell Nicole that our tree is still very well painted! There are lots of egg shells still stuck all over the trunk. And it is shiny from all the egg whites. I thought for sure that the critters would have licked the tree clean by this morning. But then again, we had a lot of eggs. I can't remember how many we figured....was it around 300 eggs? Sure wish I could have gotten the other church to take them.

It was a lovely day. I painted the bottom of some of the shipping crates so I can turn them over and get started on projects with them.

And Karen....how the heck you plan to get one home? Your Element will not hold one of these. Way too big.
I should have my truck road ready next week so maybe I can bring you one if you don't have a way to haul them. Or Debra may haul you 2 big ones and 2 little ones with a bit of extra gas money. Endless possibilities.

Oh! I am so excited to have a truck again!

I hope I can keep it nice looking. As long as it is only me driving it and using it I know it will stay nice but I occasionally let the man of the house use it and that's where I run into trouble. My last truck had lots of gouges in it where he ran the skill saw through the metal. And since I sold that truck he has run the skill saw through my metal work table a few times. I use the skill saw almost every day and I have not ever sawed through the metal....or the cord. Did I mention he saws through the cord quite often?

Gosh, sometimes I feel good about the simple things I do right.

Well, duh! I guess I should have known since you have horses!

And you did get that miniature horse in the Element to bring to me.

Jolie gets offended when we call her a horse or pony. She feels that she is much smarter and prettier than a smelly old horse.
