I wish I could send hatching eggs but since no one very close to me is going I can't send any. Although since sales have picked up this past week I may not have much to send. Must be everyone's second breath on hatching! Gosh, I feel as if I haven't slowed down a bit.

And yes, Miss Heidi, those eggs came in great shape and are so gorgeous! I now have some in the bator and some set aside for Miss Jackie. It is going to be so hard to wait 28 days!

And don;t worry about the PO, I get 100% hatches and sometimes I get 2 out of 18 so I totally understand. As hard as Guinea eggs are though they probably kicked back!


Look at this beautiful cake that a lady out in CO made! She emailed me after finding my website and asked about actual dimensions of my Marans rooster, Albert (who is for sale, btw!) since she was entering a contest to celebrate her city passing a law to allow chickens. Granted, he isn't the same color as my Albert but she took some color ideas from other photos and just needed Albert's length, height, width, yadda yadda. Boy was that some fun for me!

Other breeders would not even talk to her. How mean!

Oh, sorry I got off topic - I always have polish eggs in the incubator. There are some due to hatch this weekend and then more after that. When people see them, they buy them. They are very cute. I keep wanting to save a few for myself but they always disappear.

Okay, Joy, then those Polish need to produce more!

I love how the youngsters look but if they are anything like the Silkies I always feel the need to give haircuts around the eyes.

Well, the one lonely polish roo chick was adopted today with a promise to have some little hens in the near future. I am filling the incubators again! I also sold the last of my mille fleur chicks until the next hatch, a cuckoo maran roo, a trio of silkies and a few more ducklings.

Ok So Joycats you usually have WhiteCrested-Polish chicks available for sale??? Cause would love to add one to the Polish manaigre. Awesome to know a source! And if I should get one/two? from Amy then the Collection will be way awesome.

Oh PumPum is going out side tomorrow

so she can exercise(the crate is great, but I think it is holdin her back from having to move around which is causing more damage than good) so I'm gonna have to take a chance and put her outside(with frozen water), but she can walk, but hates too cause she's not forced to, she eats drinks and all that good stuff so....I think it's time, plus I have someone come by at 1:00 to check on all the chickens. Spoiled I say!.

Oh and Amy thanks for hatching some of my eggs for me. I'm not there yet, but was just curious about! Plus When I went to the big Coop today Padme (a B Orp) was all being hateful as a cuss on their make shift nest on the ground, so maybe broody maybe just being a huzzy, but I can tell you this she was NOT gonna let me get those eggs from under neither her. She GOT ME REAL GOOD on the hand....so I said fine and let her be!!! We'll see!!!! ....... oh the story

We should all get together and write a book...cause I bet we could make enough $ to pay da billz(well atleast for the chicken feed) lol
