I just wanted to stop by to deliever backyard news and stories...

While I was on vacation PumPum passed away. I think the heat just finally did her in. She just never got over the infestion of parasites, and I really need to find a true remedy for the wonky legs? But I think there was more to her illness.

She will be missed but I have truly learned alot from her short little life here at the mini-farm. Cause I truly love the polish chickens! I will have a little coop full of big hair! or maybe one of those frizzle/sizzle little chickens but WILD lookin!!! If they can get alone with the polish!

Happier news: my SLW laid her first egg today! It was tiny! but just to cute!!

Weird/Happy news: Broody hen is still sitting, but one egg looks like it's hatching(way to early I thought) it's only day 14ish(maybe more than ish), but it may just have been cracked, but it's in a perfect little hole.

I want to go candle them tonight at dark. To see if any are good?

So I'm all confused about the egg! We'll see.

Growing up News: my mini-coop chickens the SLW,BlkJG,EE have started going into the Big-Coop and checkin it out. I think they know that this is the place to be since their home is getting to small for them!

OK Update on the eggs...Most are dark inside, and one was clear, and one was stinky! Even the egg with hole in it was dark but I heard no chirping but left it alone after that. I guess I could be wrong on the egg date???? Maybe!?!

having another great hatch about 38 has hatched so for and a few more pipping. blue ameruacanas, black ameruacanas, blue lace red wyandottes, a few speckeld sussex and maybe a few milli fluer cochins. need some gone i am hatching more than i am selling.

Weird? Happy news: curious to see what happens to cracked egg. Growing up news: awww, made me think of my girls playing in my closet and clothes when they were little pretending to be big! Silly I know, but it's what came to mind

We raised the India blues and black shoulders and had one pair of whites.. they are so lovely when they fan and rattle...

I am so sorry to hear about Pum Pum.. this heat is just horrible. hope we dont have a repeat of it for a long while.. I too love the little polish after Mee Beep....

I bought 4 this weekend at the swap from Wilbur they are black with wht crests. my mom is so excited about them that today she was telling me all her plans to fix the Peacock pen into a pen and coop for them ( ok picture this.. a peacock pen large enough for 6 full grown peacocks < with tails> and now these 4 tiny little bobble head polish.. ) I was laughing to myself at the visual but assured her were could make the change over.. here's the deal, I bought them for me... HA... but she has her heart set on them soooo merry early Christmas.


my little Weezy is just this side of passing tonight.. bless her little soul she couldn't handle the heat either. Im just gonna let her rest peacefully and with as much comfort at possible.

phoneman I am interested in a couple americaunas blue and black.. if you will have extra available. Im also still looking for LF buff or gold Cochin Pullets. if you know of any...
