All our local peach stands sell Frog jam. It is soooo good. Not as good as creamed honey but I do have that sweet tooth. They usually make it local so you will have to check when you are back down this way. You might could find it at your Farmers Market up there.

In the winter I find my cats on the incubators warming their tookases and that is fine as long as they don't bump controls or wires. They have no interest in chicks anymore. But little kitties probably think that is loads of fun.

Any suggestions for an antibiotic to use on a chicken with an abcess? One of the girls that's gotten beat up appears to have the start of an abcess on her neck. I plan on asking the vet I work with tomorrow...but she's not too much of a chicken person (I think she gets a lil sick of my poultry questions lol). Thought I'd see if anyone has had success with a specific antibiotic for this type of thing. Thanks!

I am so excited, Our girls gave us presents today. they only showed interest in the nesting boxes yesterday and today look what I find!!!! one each in 2 different boxes. WoooHoooo!!

( not expensive) tell her what for , and she wont need to see her or anything.. and just put the drops in her mouth as directed. its easy and you know she's getting everything she is supposed to get. the powder that you put in the water works but not as fast .
