Still waiting to hear they made it. I was told that the runway into the town they were flying is one of the most dangerous in the world. Flying into mountains and very short. I wish I would have gotten the flight number and carrier so I could track it myself. He has a global phone and added Honduras to the plan so I thought he would call me. He was supposed to land at 3 pm our time and now it's almost 7:30! Ugh!

I'm really ready to say good-bye to the 90's. So ready! A high around 82 would be terrific!

I saw those, I think on Craig's list. I couldn't afford to take them all, but I really love the little speckled better anyway. I'm so glad you're the one that got them. I'm wondering, because the breeding thing is so new to me, what is a split? It that just a cross between the two colors or something deeper and more confusing genetically? I got wild, after seeing your marans and admiring the rooster that was given to me and ordered from eggs from Garry Family farm. I didn't really know anything about the breed, but loved what I found out <sigh> Here goes another breeding pen. At least it can wait until spring.

I know a lot of people who have flown in there, it was scary. Praying for your husband to get there and back safe. Everything is probably ok. If I remember correctly, Honduras cell phone service leaves a lot to be desired so he is probably just not in an area with a good signal.

You lost 2 of the 3 whites, 2 of the 5 buffs, 2 marked bl/lave/sp and 3 of the BBS. I was worried about a few other BBS but hope they hold on. The veins still were there but it looked suspiciously like they may be quitters. The air cells were pretty damaged but I had them on the bottom of the bator for the first week and have been turning them only slightly twice a day. I really hope those Lav/Por ones make it!

What will be, will be. A buff and a white would be nice to add to my collection. And If you need to help any of them, I'm not opposed to it. What ever you think is best.

I usually lurk on here , but just thought I would add myself to the s.c thread. Currently we live in cowpens, work in Spartanburg.I have yokohamas , silkies , true araucanas , true ameracaunas and Millie Cochin hens. My birds are my hobby and I have met some nice people in the hobby(and some not so nice).I am happy to see so many people close by that enjoy it to.
