South Carolina

It looks like for the Chickenstock in NC tomorrow we will have a convoy.

Kimberly is coming to pick up a load of ducks to take up for me and Jackie and I will be in my truck and Debra is following in her truck, full of ducks and chickens so our three trucks should make the ride a bit more enjoyable.

There is no telling what Jackie and I will be yakking on about on the ride up. Coming back should be fun, too as we will be chatting about all the people we got to meet and the animals we saw.

So, Kimberly, are we going to meet you up the road in the morning somewhere and follow you all the rest of the way or what? I have my GPS and also the directions printed out from Google Maps. Debra gets lost easily enough so she has to follow. And I drive like a mad woman.
And you need a pillow to sit on since I could barely see your head when I was behind you the other day! LOL I think I need to sit on a pillow, too. Debra is tall and she uses one in her truck.

I guess we will talk about it when you all come this afternoon. I think I will send 5 drakes, if we can manage it. I have 3 Saxony, a Pekin and that pretty Runner.

We are now planning to leave at 6:30 am since so many people are going and it would be nice to all park together so we can watch each other's stuff.

My rooster crowed this morning!!! Now, does that mean ...what?...other than he is crowing(?) He is still a cockerel?...or, does this mean he is reaching rooster adulthood? I was on the phone to fiance when the rooster started crowing...so he heard it too. Kinda funny...rooster sounded like a whip-o-will (spell).

It means he is crowing and hitting teenage time LOL.. He will be a cockerel until he reaches a year old, then he becomes a full fledged rooster. Of course, that is all secretly done at night, with secret handshakes and ceremonies that only full fledged Roosters know about.

A year huh?...he is busy chasing a hen around the chicken tractor right now...pretty much all morning. Might go out later...and see him tied up and trussed.
