Ok seriously. this is getting silly. First the bear, then the coyotes and then last night the news people were all over the mtn investigating a BLACK PANTHER. Really guys? They haven't caught a black panther up here since the 30s. At least a compeltely wild one. Now a circus side show may have just dumped it but who knows. "Maybe bigfoot is blurry".

Hope all goods well!!! Bless Her!!!!

She has a bad cough now but I suppose it is from all that inhaler. Her check up is Monday and I pray it is a lot better and not a starting of asthma. She is happy she is getting out of breath from just walking around the house. She is very bored and ready to get back to school! There is only so much TV and computer she cares to do so she has been spending time loving all her piggies, so afraid the Dr will tell her to get rid of them. I am sure it would not be the piggies themselves and will just try another type of bedding if it is asthma.

Thanks for the blessings. She needs it!

Don,
are you looking for a Cuckoo Marans? That is what I think you meant by barred. They are a very common Marans color. The harder ones to find though are the feather legged French Marans in the Cuckoo pattern. Of course, when you start looking for one they are hard to find.

We have deer, turkey and Canadian Geese everywhere here and I can live with that but you can keep your mean old critters over there!

A few weeks ago I had some people over showing them the chickens and did not know my cats had gotten out of the pen in the back of my barn. My big black one was walking along the weeds of the back pasture and the people exclaimed "Oh! There is a black panther in your field!" I looked over and saw him and had to giggle. I called "Ebony!" and he started towards us. They freaked out and said,"You have a panther as a pet?" Okay, he might weigh in around 22 lbs but I swear he is a lot smaller than a panther!
I couldn't get him to come closer once he noticed the people. He doesn't like strangers but some folks here on the thread can tell you he is a big black monstrosity. I would let him and the other 2 boys stay in the house still but they thought pooping on the floor was a great idea of fun. Now they can poop in their pen where ever they want!

Thats funny!

Could Ebony be the father of either litter of kittens? The black kitten from the younger litter (Midnight) has white hairs scattered all over her belly... and white arm pits!

I'm currently trying to find a reasonable vet to get the boy cat neutered before we have a litter or two over here! Kittens are wonderful, but Husband only tolerates so much.
