That cafe and grocery has some real yummies in it. I got a half gal. of raw goats milk because Amber doesn't have as much to share right now. And Mary makes the most awesome, totally scrumptious cheese bread bites! I bought 2, one for me and one to bring home to Leah. Poor thing barely got half of the one I got for her! I couldn't help it!

And Mary says they are even better made with my ducks eggs that you gave her, Jackie!

I don't know what I would do if they taste any better than that!

Roosters go into a nest box and coo to let the hens know it is a good and safe place to lay. They encourage them to get interested in laying, especially where he can stand guard and watch for predators while she does her nails....er, sits and lays an egg.
Perfectly normal but it does make people ask questions on the sanity of their roos!

Is this the one near Cedar Lane Rd? I need to check it out. I remember Jackie talking about it and it sounded great and like a great location.

Yup, it is on Cedar Lane Rd. at the foot of the bridge. A big brick building. Easy to see when you come over the bridge from Greenville but not easy to find from the other direction, which is how we got there.

Ah yes, the weather was so nice today that after selling out of eggs and selling a few breeder roos, we took about 10 roos off to freezer camp. Well, actually the first 24 hours they stay in the fridge and then I bag them and mark them for the freezer.
So glad to have a lot less to feed. Now only about 60 to go........kidding! Probably only about 20.
