If you are eating the eggs yourself then no, you do not need to toss them. You will be dewormed right along with them.

Actually, it takes a lot more to deworm us with Ivermectrin. It is a product the Drs give humans but you could have a reaction to it same as Collies. It has never bothered me but I do not sell the eggs if I use it.

I used panacure instead and wormed everyone with a pea sized dose.. it will cure or Ill have one hell of a mess and alot of crying... I dont know who it is and they've all been sharing food and water and roosting spots so thought that was a better idea

you were just kidding about he eating eggs would worm the person too.. right??

Ok Mrs.Amy...if you have been reading you know that I now require(hehe) to know where you are so I can pick up my precious cargo Saturday!! PLEASE!! I have been wanting to see your farm for a while so it will be the most awsome day for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS FOR BEING THE MEETING POINT ALSO!!! I am bringing extra carriers just incase chicken math gets me again!!

I usually do become the meeting point since I am such a chatty Kathy and enjoy seeing humans some times. If I cluck or quack just ignore me! I am too used to being with feathered friends instead of real humans!

Bat Cave Sandy and Mary the Southern Bee Lady met up here once and got treated to deer coming along and giving us a pretty show within a few feet of us. We were all standing there in awe of them and none of us thought to snap photos until long after they walked away. I can't promise a nice show like that but the chickens are cool!

Janelle knows she is always welcome here. We share the love of bantam Cochins along with tons of other great things to talk about. Both of us yakking on at 90 miles an hour about all kinds of stuff keeps us busy for hours but I know she will be tired after the rabbit show, too.

I'll PM you my addy and give you my cell number. Though I suppose most everyone on this list already knows all that.

Oh, and so sorry the grass is not cut. There is a nice 15 ft path cut as we go into the barnyard and there sits the lawnmower, dead yet again! I guess now is the time to buy one since it is the end of the season. This time a certain person is not going to be allowed to use it!

I swear, everything that man touches falls apart.....and hence the way I am.

My yard and house is never, ever perfect! I am just super excited about coming up(and my milles of course)! Funny ...my DH isnt allowed to touch my mower either,or my tools,or my car,or....well u get the point! Thanks again and see you soon too!

He just came in a few minutes ago. He does not want to be held but is eating and seems to be fine. I think he maybe a little spooked from me shooting the first snake. but I think he's OK. Thanks to everyone that said a pray for him. He's a good cat and worth the worry.

Ok Ya'll what am I doing wrong..

this is what I feed..

dumore layer crumbles 2 scoops ( they waste the pellets) laying mash 2 scoops, 1 scoop black oil sunflower seeds ( BB's dont like them at all) and 1 - 1/2 scoops of mixed scratch grains. they have grit and oyster shells available at will, fresh water at will, indoor outdoor coop/ hen yard. ( they get to free range when Im there all day or if they've laid eggs.) they get some kind of goodie everyday ( different everyday) might be yogurt, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese , watermelon or another fruit, vegetables ( not peas) squash with seeds., bread cherrios, check cereal , rice or noodles even bugs or toads. < my son like to give them the toads/frogs from the pond.. >or the like..

WHY DON'T i HAVE ANY EGGS.... well that's an exaggeration.. Twin my leghorn lays everyday, Jett my barred Holland lays everyday, and now even my bard rocks who were laying have stopped.. my girls from Susanne have stopped. ( i might get one egg a day from one of the six of them, never the same egg color so figure not the same girl) what am I doing wrong??

Everyone seams happy and they are always very active and responsive to their names, individually or as a flock. ( its so cute that they all know their own names.. who knew chickens were so smart? ) they are free to go in and out of the coop to the hen yard when they want to.

I have 18 girls over the age of 24 weeks. they are all spread out and safe from harming one another, not all in the coop/and hen yard, so Im not overcrowded. I have 2 nest boxes set up the new girls from Susanne were using the new box but now everyone has decided to use the one old box. then the seperated breeds the polish and bb bantams, EEs have their own boxes in their coop/pen. un-used

can they be overstimulated? I go out and hang with them several times a day as well as feed and water in the am and then again at night.

I did have the new broiler chicks in there too and they did have a light on at night but they are 4 weeks old today so I put them out in a grow up pen.. so lights off at night now.. ( I did bring the 3 smallest broilers back in to the coop so i could watch their growth ( still in their own cage) but I am keeping the light off at night now.

i thought i would cross post this just to get an array of possibilities and things to try or not do anymore..

thanks )O(

Sorry for your loss and Stench in the house

We keep a gallon bottle of Skunk Odor dog Shampoo we bought at Top Dog LTD in Greenville several years back. Our neighbors used it a month ago and said all smell was gone after one bath. it would not help the house, but you might try www.gonesmoke.com they have an odor eliminator product that does a good job on skunk odor. They are in Lyman. They are the manufacturer and distributor.

I kept the two smallest and I have yet to see an egg and the lady from clemson said the wheatons are Americanas!!....We met the breeder also and my mom bought a roo...I can find nothing about them to say they are not Americana but I am waiting on eggs...my dark gal on the otherhand I know is an EE...still hoping for a blue egg!! I hope worming helps you,you should be covered in eggs with your group!! Green peas have had no ill effects on my ladies but now you have me ready to research ASAP!! I have my fingers crossed for you and sending prayers your way!!
