Hi everyone. Long time no talk. How is everyone?? All is good here. Well since the last time a was here, i lost a few, hatched a few and just having a good time here. I have a question. Why do chickens all decide to start molting at the same time? I had a good client base selling about 6-8 dozen a week. Now that word is out that fresh eggs are wonderful (like we didn't know that already) the majority of my gals decided to slack off.

so now I have a waiting line for my eggs and I am only getting about 9 or 10 a day. WHY???????

They are so cute! I can't wait to see what they look like when they grow up!
So are they out of Mottleds or Splashes? It looks like Mottleds but I wasn't sure if you had other varieties you were crossing him to.

I hatched out my last ones.

But at least I got some cuties, too.

What you need to do is take the coyotes over to chase off the skunks.....or maybe the skunks over to chase off the coyotes! I'm not sure which one would work best.

I have him with my BEST two black mottled girls (both from you btw) plus that new girl from you. I have no idea which of those 3 laid these eggs...although I am not even sure that the new young girl is laying right now.

I also got a new blue mottled cochin rooster this weekend at Crossroads (along with a blue mottled hen). I bought the pair for the hen but now that they are home I am not impressed with the hen AT ALL but absolutely in LOVE with the rooster. Best $10 I ever spent! LOL

I know we talked about mottleds lacking width across their back. Check him out.

He is young and still feathering in and has definitely not had his first molt yet. I really like him.
