Maybe I'll find some mille fleur D'Anvers like I saw at the Morganton show! DH may come with me though...so I know he'll try to talk me out of adding any more chickens....but as of today I rehomed my last extra roo and now have an open tractor...hmmm

And it's not working and I'm having a terrible day!! My house phone is also not working. So the only phone that works is my husbands cell phone. And then I need to clean the house and the first thing I try to do is clean the kitchen counters and lo and behold WHERE IS THE DANG lysol???!! Naturally, nowhere in sight. So, I have to run to town just for that. -_- I can't keep noodles on my counter much longer. Oh, and did I mention if I drive to town nobody can call me?? I might wreck and be stuck on the highway and I can't call for help! And I can't have my hubby tagalong because he is SICK.

OH OH and I have birds coming next week and guess which number the post office will probably attempt to call?!! So I had to contact the person and tell them my work number. I SWEAR TO GOODNESS. I'm going to have a break down.

I dont like the apple company, but the great thing about apple fans are that many pay high prices just to get the latest devices, therefore you will find many slightly used ones on Ebay and Craigslist for not much money.

Chicks & Guineas :

Just joined the BYC Forum. I'm on Johns Island. I've got mostly Guineas but recently adopted a Miile Fleur bantam rooster and got 5 red hens to keep him company. I think they're RIR and New Hampshire crosses. I got the hens from TSC as chicks in the spring and they've been giving me beautiful eggs for most all summer. I might be looking to get a few more hens of some different types later on, possibly some Americaunas.
I would be nice to find someone close who has chicks so I don't need to mail order them.

Hey there! My grandmother has lived on John's Island since the late 60s!

These folks here on the SC list are real enablers. Just stick around and they'll fix you up.

The little bantums are full of personality in a cute little package. You could collect your own fertile eggs and hatch them. I'll hold off other advice because I'm playing catch up trying to read what all these chatty people wrote!

Welcome to BYC!

I went through 4 (FOUR) droid phones before I got the latest Apple iphone and I LOVE it! I depend on it for everything, even my grocery list. I never leave it at home anymore. I'm so sorry. Maybe try placing the phone in a ziplock bag full of rice to see if it will pull the moisture out of it.

Wait! So you never found out who was selling the d'Anvers at Morganton?
I bet you will see some d'Anvers for sale at Clemson since it is an all bantam show.
I am going to try to not take any money so I won't buy all the stuff I will be tempted to. Of course, it depends on which truck/car/SUV we take as to what I may slip back home with.

You are most welcome. And may the best hatching vibes be with you!

I had a few to hatch out this morning. There are 2 BLRW chicks there and a bantam Cochin. There are more in the hatcher but these 2 were close enough I could grab a shot.

ETA this photo of the Mottled chick with the BLRW I just took. I packed you some Mottled eggs in with those BLRW.

We can take the SUV - there is room in the back for chickens.

and if it is just the 3 of us, we can lay part of the back seat down for more room!!
