What are ypu up to today? Do you have any hatching d'anvers? I don't nedd many. Just a few really! I could drive over. I was looking for a field trip! Let me know!
I have D'anver eggs. and the others we have a re wyandotte/ production red.  but they are mixed breed, there may be a few wyandotte eggs that are pure.

Yancy you birds are beautiful and should be giving you really nice babies.
Rockerhen, love you pics too. our birds were so happy to be out in the sunshine too. THe turkeys look like std bronze most;y, I would would expect with std bronze hens you will have std bronze looks. but it would be interesting. As for the toms gobbleing at everything, thats what all of ours do here, and they have girls. any loud noisy gobble, and they strutt all the time around us, girls or not. so they have normal behavior.
I know it's normal, I just wish they had some hens that pay attention other than some very disinterested wyandottes and silkies lol. They especially love when all the chickens are gathered to eat scratch, as they have a large audience. They walk in the middle of them all, standing completely still, all fluffed out, like, 'Behold my glory!' haha. This is my first time with turkeys, they're great fun.

NEED HELP / ADVICE....
One of my roosters in my main coop has started crowing in the middle of the night. The roost is in the dark, they are secure from outside threats. This all started with the fall back time change. Of course if the rooster use to crow at 5:45 but then started crowing at 4:45...sure I get that(for the rooster doesn't wear a watch), But oh he'll crow at 11:30, 3:00am 4:00am all random and not everynight. It doesn't wake me up but if Im up I hear it. I really need to talk to my neighbor(who is a really nice lady) to see if it wakes her up(if so I need a quick fix) SO any ideas of how to stop this behavior of crowing. I have never had this happen before til recently. HELP.

Easy, get him a watch, you said it. possibly a Coop Clock?

but seriously...

Possibly a night light, or some sound absorbing material like a moving blanket hung up to help mute the sound?

Are there street lights nearby? mabe he sees too much and a coop night light would limit his outside view.

I am not sure how to help except I do like the night light idea. I will say my roos all start crowing if someone drives up in my driveway or I go outside. Maybe he is hearing something outside that is spooking him. You know he is safe but he doesn't! So the noise buffer (blanket) might help him settle down too!
