OH NO it's a sweet sweet Girl!!! I want a whole Herd I mean Flock of them!!!

I'm getting there...but now EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY ADULT SILKIE PULLETS (except one) IS BROODY. Most of them on nothing. So nobody is laying now.

Well Nikki glad you ask..Oh I need some white silkie eggs see comment above!. LOL and I just ordered Silver Laced Bantam Bearded Polish eggs. Love Them with the Silkies!!! ....

I just have the One...I have no idea what to do when she becomes broody. Her BFF is a lite colored EE pullet.

They where picked on while growing up cause they where very passive so I put them together and BAM BFF's. they never leave each others side...even though the EE now wants to roost up high and the silkie down low. They work it out ...

All these spring showers has brought our pond back up to it's four acre glory! There are tadpoles and young fry everywhere, and our resident great blue heron has started showing up with a friend

Ah, I love spring!

Here are my newest two day old Cream Legbars from shipped eggs, one more is in the incubator but couldn't get up (gave her electrolytes and vitamins and now she's trying to walk/hobble)...waiting to see if more hatch!

Thinking of replacing my production reds (9 hens), since I now have Heritage reds, with Black Australorps. Just don't know. Decisions, Decisions!!

Anybody want to trade a few. LOL

Great photos, everyone! Love to see what all everyone has going on!

I am sold out of hens for now. Whew! They were eating me out of house and home! The ducks will forage and then eat very little grain back in their runs but those chickens run around playing on the farm and come home hungry! I have only 40 hens left in the laying flock with a few pullets growing up with them for my breeding pens of Olive Eggers.

Naturally, my brooders are starting to fill up with Golden Cuckoo Marans, EEs, Olive Eggers and tons of bantam Cochins with a few Silkies thrown in. Keets and turkey poults are soon to hatch along with my Runner ducks and lavender Muscovy project babies.

Yup, spring has sprung! I am tired..... LOL
