I saw that post :( The pictures are terrible! I would be absolutely furious if they had been sent t me that way. Hopefully the hatchery will change its' shipping policy so something like this never happens again.

I have never ordered from Cackle but places like Ideal or Meyer were always great about refunding monies for any dead chicks, even ones that died a day or so after arriving.
Having said that, I personally gave up giving money to hatcheries and started looking locally for excellent birds.
 


I have 6 broody hens, 4 of which are silkies. I allowed the silkies to collect a few of their eggs, but I didn't keep up with the hatch date. This little guy surprised me today, the rest should follow soon.

We got 2 cockerals and 6 pullets I think they are about 12 weeks old so of course they don't look this grown up yet.
