South Carolina

As long as you're not in the city limits you are good to go. Make sure you have approval if you're going to sell eggs. Clemson has a lot of good info about SC state rules and regulations. Dr. Helm is really nice and can answer any question you could come up with.
Be prepared for neighbors and observers if you have a lot of roosters though. And if you see a white sedan parked and a guy taking notes after observing whatever he can see from the road, don't panic. You can call it in, but it's most likely the police making sure you're not involved in cock fighting. Apparently there is a big initiative going on to stop illegal fights.
Best wishes with your birds!

Finally some info I can use!!! Thanks so much!! Is there a limit to the number of hens you are allowed?

Does anybody know what's going to be at this swap? And if I have some chicks to sell, do I just show up and sell them, or is there a fee to sell? And can we sell eggs (hatching or eating)? Sorry for all the questions. :)
