Doesn't pick a chick in Anderson have those?
Ok, I'll pm you my number. You probably found me on CL the last timeOh and let me get 4 (straight run right?)
I'm loving my AMs, but my EE's are my best layers with the highest hatch rate right now. They were almost 100% fertile straight through the winter, and that rooster is covering 13 girls. If AM sales slow down, I may start setting EEs again. AMs usually sell out straight run, so I can sell them quickly, but a lot of people looking for EEs want pullets. Because of the pea combs, it takes me a few months to be able to sex them, so that's why I'm focusing on the AMs right now.
That sounds great! I love my EEs. I'm thinking about selling the EE rooster and replacing him with one of my cull AMs to see if I can improve egg colorThe EE that grew out from our layer flock covered by my wheaten colored EE guy are absolutely beautiful, colorful, lay from Lt green to pink egg colors.all have wonderfully full beards and cheeks hens and roosters...![]()
I hope to keep a couple this year to see. We're adding a new layer type hen into the blend. Going for a larger colored egg.
Oh really? Do you get some good birds there? I'll pm youHaving a poultry swap April 9th 10-2
