When I let them out of their run he will try to flog my legs even when I'm just standing there.

I don't know what happened he was nice when he was 4 months old but when he got around the age of 6 months he got mean. This was him around 5 months

What do u mean by that

He probably went through puberty and if he's with hens his guardian instincts kick in. Sometimes it helps if you catch him and hold him a lot. BOs do not have a reputation as being mean but you may have an exception. Make him understand you are in charge. :)

Thanks for all the help I will try to hold him everyday if I can otherwise. We will need to get rid of him.

hey a very active 10,000 member group (although last count 3,000 active) on the Pet Chickens site on FB... join there and post a pic of him... just can't mention the dinner option on that site. Lots of folks that like to rescue and rehabilitate. Also, keep checking craigslist...some flocks are looking for free roosters. Good luck. Oh, start carrying him around everywhere with you...he will hate that and eventually walk away when you come near him. lots of good info out there on how to rehabilitate successfully.
