I am Greer-ish, Taylors-ish LOL Literally, the other side of the highway that runs past me is Greer. Howdy to neighbors! :D Whatcha all have? I've got 2 BR girls (down from 7, long story). Am looking for new ladies and that one special roo to add!

I've might have a few little roos that still need homes soon! One amerauca at least, possibly an English orpington. Plus one of my herbs is sitting on a clutch of Easter Egger eggs as well.

And it sounds as though you and I are pretty close. I'm in Taylor's but right on the Greer line as well!

Ooh, a nearby neighbor! :D Howdy! I'm getting soft on the Orpington idea, so many lovely pics and wonderful commentary on their nature here in BYC. Someone down 101 has a couple Buffs that graze near the road and I always watch for them. :love I'm going to go Google your type so I can see what they look like! :D

Okay, still a high-schooler as far as chicken ownership--are, say, Buff Orpingtons and English Buff Orpingtons the same bird?
The English variety tends to be bigger. Buff is just one of the colors they come in. I currently have a splash and 4 chicks that are BBS (black, blue, splash) of those 4, one is blue, the other 3 are black.

Of all of our chickens, our orpington is by far the sweetest and easiest going breed. Plus big enough that none of the other girls pick on her

Oh come now, you need a faverolle! Lol! He's free! I'm swapping out roos this year so iv'e got an established male 1 year old, people freindly full faverolle. Looooves chicks! So if you're wanting babes in the future he's the guy. Nothing wrong with him, his son just has a better standard of perfection and I want to breed and sell nice favs.:)

Oh, no, I was actually admiring him, don't tempt me! :D I've only got the 2 girls right now, though, and someone just said in another thread that too few girls per roo is a bad idea. Know where I can pick up a couple Brahma lassies? :D
