South Carolina

It is a wee black muff lol! They love to have it scratched.:) The brahmas, I don't know of any locally but I am ordering a buff from Meyer hatchery to add to my group of chunky ladies. You don't have to have a ton of girls for a fav, he's only got 5 right now but he's more of an eater than a lover so it is perfectly fine.:)
Do these fellas have a wee black muff or are their wattles black? They are so pretty! :love

Upstate SC here.

Does anyone in the area have lavender Ameraucana? I'd like to buy a few breeding/show quality young hens or juveniles.

My bestie and her guy do, TONS--they live next door. They've mentioned something about green-legged leapers and such, but the only types they have that I know anything about are gold, white and silver phoenixes.
Know if they sale fertile eggs?

Their chicken enterprise is only a bit more than a year older than mine; it may be another month before their oldest girls start laying but I'm sure fertile eggs are in their plans. I know they're scrambling (har-har) to make final decisions on breeding stock, down from originally over 50 to maybe 30 or so right now. I'll find out exactly what breeds the non-phoenix ones are and give you a holler. :)
