Uhm, Enola? If Nadine has a roo go for it. If not, I have billion or two. Mutts, but handsome mutts!
So Mike knows about the post now! So glad he is home, and praying for his good health to come back and continue.

BTW ya'll, I have snake issues.

Any advice on how to get rid of snakes without poisoning chickens? Without me having to use a shovel or shotgun when DH isn't around? Repellant?

Yes, Enola,

I still have that Black Copper Marans roo for you.
I am so glad Mike is home! I still have ya'll in my prayers.

Use sulfur around to keep snakes away. They do not like to cross over a line of it but you have to reapply it after it rains.

Nadine, as soon as I get some of my broilers killed off I am coming up to visit and pick up the rooster. I am going to bring 2 or 3 of 'the kids' so you and I can congratulate each other on our grandchildren !

Do you know anyone that wants a Cuckoo Marans cockerel ? I have one that I would like to find a good home for. I would even consider trading him for a hen .. . . . .

Hi Enola!
Can't wait to see our "grandbabies"! No rush on the Marans roo. He will be here when you are ready.

I know of no one at this time wanting a cuckoo roo but if I had thought about it last week, I might could have gotten him a home for you. I'll keep my ears and eyes open.

Nadine, my daughter is coming to visit me for about 6 weeks. (She has chicken fever

) So, we are coming to visit you after she gets here ! We would like to take pictures of Boom-Boom's mom and dad while we are there.

I want to put the pictures on my BYC page.

See ya !

Well I live in the upstate area and I am going to have pure EE chicks for sale here within the week. I have EE, and I have BBS orps, and BO/ EE cross chicks now. I think they are going to be awesome , then have the orp nature but some have the EE color so I can't wait to see what color eggs they lay. Some of them have the Orp color but have muffs too. They are very cool looking . I would love to meet more folks that live in the upstate area just to swap stories , see what type of chickens you have and to make some friendships.

Welcome to SC!
I live in the upstate on the Greenville/Spartanburg county line near the NC border.
I have EE's, too. A flock of 5 hens and a roo, 10 new pullets and about 20 chicks left to sell. Well, I may keep about 5 of the real purty ones....

There are a few I have met several from the upstate as well as all over SC.
