All you have to do is show up. I know of 6 others coming not from the forum. Also the community yard sale is the same day. Come bring yard sale stuff also.

Plan to be there! Will you have your layer pellet feed?

Unsure how a chicken swap works?

1) Bring money
2) Bring cages
3) Largest transport vehicle you can find
4) Sedative for non-chickeny spouse
5) Sanitary wipes for after handling chickens-don't want to spread diseases!
6) If at all possible a second chicken fanatic to keep sedated non-chickeny spouse busy elsewhere.
7) Stuff to trade for chickens- or to give other non-chickeny spouses something to look at. Used sports equipment works great.
8) Have fun!

Very Funny, but suggest you leave non-chickeny spouse at home and take chicken fanatic daughter instead!

I wish I could make the Swap but I don't need to swap for much of anything. I want very little at this point but have tons that can go! LOL

In the past month I have hatched out about 80 Easter Eggers, about 10 rumpless, (some tufted) Araucanas, Welsummers, Sizzles and Frizzles, bantam Cochins and am still hatching from other breeding pens like my Cuckoo Marans in gold and black, blue and black copper and am starting to hatch from my Delaware/RIR cross and my Langshans.

The freezer is full of chicken and I have been trading roos for fresh goats milk.

I have ducks but I am not sure I will breed them. I love, love, love to eat those eggs! I sell the free range chickens' eggs and keep most of the ducks eggs for myself. Yummy!
However, we will be having duck for Thanksgiving instead of turkey this year. I have a Silver Appleyard with no mate so we will be taking him out. He is almost as big as my Pekin boy that is younger than him.

Have fun at the Swap! If you don't find what you want there then PM me and come see what all I have growing up on the farm!

And anyone with beautiful bantam Cochin girls feel free to let me know. I can swap for those.
I will be going to the November show in Clemson to look around. Like I need more bantam Cochins! I only have about 120! And still hatching! I am anxiously awaiting my Silver Laced bantam Cochins maturity so they will start giving me eggs to hatch.

I know this maybe a silly question, but do you have Ducks at these chicken swaps, and..do you need to bring something to swap or can you just buy!!??
