Yancy, the girls look puzzled and cold! LOL
Mine stayed right in front of the barn where the snow was quickly melting and they could run from the end stall back up to their coop. The ducks loved it all though.

I am not hatching any more eggs til March (except for the few I still have cooking in the bator) and now have saved up some Blue Copper and Black Copper eggs. I suppose I will call some one that has been begging for chicks and see if he wants to buy some or maybe I will eat these and put the next batch up on the auction. My Golden Cuckoo Marans are laying again, too.
Just when you think you know your chickens.....

Yancy, I saw your pics on Facebook! So funny! I got videos and lots of pics of mine yesterday. Once they got out and decided it wasn't evil, just cold, they were fine. A few did try to fly across it, but they gave up and walked eventually. My girls and I were laughing at their "snow socks!" At first they stayed at the treeline but they did end up going in their normal spots. They actually cleared a good bit of the yard yesterday.

The family down in Evans and Tattnall Co.'s (GA) got snow yesterday.
I'm pondering moving further south --- this cold/snow/freezing rain is unpleasant!

If anyone on here hears of me hatching after Oct. please shoot me! LOL I am so wore out from cleaning brooders and caring for chicks that I am about to start clucking myself. If I have to fill one more water container after deicing it then I just may have to say some choice words.
AND if I do not raise chicks or have many birds next winter it will be a heck of a lot warmer! And Dipsy won't have to move!

I am just sitting here watching the eggs in the bator...

Dipsy the snow would probably follow you so its best to stay put! Eric if you want to come to sumter I have eggs you can have also...just crosses right now RIR/cochin or silkie/cochin everyone is running together right now...they will be separated in about a month or so.

Going to get another cup of GOOD coffee and watch the eggs some more

Sitting here catching up on email and drinking coffeee this am and what did I hear from the bator! A CHEEP I heard a CHEEP! I don't see any pips or anything else but I sure heard a cheep!

Tomorrow is suppose to be day 21...I can't stand it...guess its good I will be going to work tonight...This are my shipped frizzle eggs from ebay...PLEASE let it be a frizzle...

You all know this is my first attempt at using a bator...okay I will try and calm down now....
