I would not have thought about you getting snow out there but I know it happens. When you mention New Mexico I picture cactus and deserts! Been there and loved it but it was summer so no snow or us then.
I stay warm in my thermals and lovely winter hat. I may not look cute but I am sure comfy!

I think the ducks are the only ones that enjoyed it. The chickens hate it!

Glad to hear the duck was safe and sound!

We are actually still at 39F here, at least it's dried out a bit. I have GOT to get out and work on the new coop but it's too cold for this old lady! Motivation is strongest in the morning, with 7 roosters crowing in the house.....

Here's some good news ---- I got my HovaBator 2362N & Turner today!

Got it stablizing the temp right now. I plan on setting eggs in the morning. I've got approx 10+ eggs from my flock. Should be sexlinks (red&blk), EE x, and White Leghorn x, Blk sexlink x

My man Rudy (RIR) has been doing all the fertilizing. This is my first run at this, so I'll prob end up addicted to that too, lol. But I'll be happy with 50% hatch rate, since this is my 1st. Will post pics as they become available.

No No don't put those eggs in the bator tomorrow wait until sat...thats when I am putting some maran eggs in (nadine I am going to pick them up tomorrow night...he said I can see the 22 babies he just hatched out too!)

Keith is an awesome person. I talk with him lots and lots. He knows me by Amy but probably as Nadine, too. I thought about changing my title on here to just West Knoll and signing all my posts Amy. Most folks know me like that. I go by either one though. Call me what you like but please, don't call me late for supper!

I am using a LG with fan and turner...I really am looking at the brinsea but I have to be honest and say i just don't know if I want to spend that money when the one I have is working good and my preference I think would be to use my broodies (less work for me)

I do have a frizzle who has just gone broody and I am so tempted to let her do the work!

Okay so you set yours tomorrow and I will do mine sat and we will obsess together for the next 21 days..lol

Then we can drive everyone crazy with the pics of our new fuzzies!
