Ohhhhhhhh auction!

Where?

We drove to Jefferson SC a few months ago for an auction there.

We went to one in Timmonsville....very ummm laid back and then dinner at a fish market where you pick your fish and they cook it...cheap and good!

Made the flock block for the girls today...went to a horse mtg and when I came back it was almost all gone! DH thought it was a cake for him when he saw it..I molded it in a bundt pan...ha I should have let him eat it!

Okay so i am putting 36 eggs in the bator in about an hour...figure if I do it at night then they will hatch at night and I can wake up to surprises! (or I will stay up all night) Didn't plan on 36 but after picking up the maran eggs a friend brought over a dozen silkie eggs since she knew I was getting ready to start the bator...and then my frizzle girls laid a few so well...here we go again..

I read that about 36 eggs and went

! Thats alotta Marans eggs! His hens are really spitting them out!

But then read on and saw they were other breeds. Too cute and funny.

I haven't even touched my Sportsman to work on it and yet.....I have more eggs coming next week!

said for me to get them so I did. And while I was at it I got some white bantam Cochin eggs, too.

I have space in the little Genesis 1588 to add the whites but those Marans eggs won't fit since I have Yancy's babies growing in there along with some of my own (I know! It IS an addiction!). So now I will do a cleaning on the Sportsman and fire her back up. Geez...

Wow thats alot I was thinking 20 was allot but wow. Ok I got to ask who has the most chickens in the state of sc on byc?????

Is anyone in Boiling Springs, S.C. near Spartanburg?
(just curious....since I have an Aunt there....)

Eric Eric....not sure if they will all hatch...and I really didn't plan on putting more then 15 in and then eggs started appearing at my house...LOL Actually if the silkies hatch my friend will be getting those back...and I just had to throw a few of my frizzle eggs in there...(they will be staying with me, well at least the girls will...lol and the marans are Amy's fault but I sure do like the looks of how big and dark their eggs are! Don't worry Eric I bet after this hatch you will be telling us you set 36 more...

PS: Most think the prices on berries are high. I think last year it was like $11 for a bucket....(gallon maybe?) They have a website (google strawberry hill usa) not sure if prices are listed there or not. I *think* so.
