Gosh! All the chicks hatching! You would think it was spring or sumthin'!

I was woke up about 4 am to thunder rolling. I thought "Uh-oh."

When in February you hear thunder, in 10 days you'll be snowed under.

Guess what they are predicting for Wed. night and Thursday?

Okay we are hatching right along...5 silkies out and 9 marans are out well 9 chicks from those pretty dark brown eggs...2 of the chicks from the marans eggs are yellow! Other 7 look like marans chicks...so I have 2 imposters it seems...

Wow Amy - I forgot about that old saying. That sure was some thunderstorm, it had us all awake too. I'm thinking we may be in for a blizzard.

Snow....

The weathermen have changed the forecast so many times in the last few days who knows what will happen? I saw it one day saying high in the 40's with 40% chance of snow. At least that would melt on the roads if any fell.
Just remember, that last big snow they weren't saying much until the day before and then they started pushing the forecast. They can't say what it will be in the next few days but we are supposed to believe in Global Warming.

Hey, don't listen to me, I am the same one that says there were no dinosaurs and there is no fossil fuel.

Yea I know they keep changing it, its funny to listen to them contradict themselves. We'll know what we are going to get when it gets here.


Jolie's buddy Bear isn't doing well and won't make it to summer, so I'm getting yet another one today

a 14 month old this will be fun.

One grbbed my shirt and hung on like a dog!

I hate to hear about Jolie's find not doing well but he has lived to a ripe old age. However, I don't envy you with a new "puppy"! I plan on Jolie training one in a few years and I bet she will not be happy with me. She does well with other dogs until they get near her chickens!

My handsome Columbian Frizzle is acting all cocky right now, too. I point my finger at him and fuss when he gets after the younger girls and he pecks my finger. The nerve!

Does it look like the combs are getting bigger? I hope it is just young girls getting ready to get all hormonal on you.

Well Amy, DH is calling them the gamecock frizzles if that tells you anything....the silkie runs at us and flings her/his chest at us and does not backdown..

Haven't cheked out their combs too much but will let you know..might even get a pic of the little boogers for you!
